Hello and welcome to my blog.  My name is Brian Healy, and I’m a fisheries biologist and nature photographer based in the Desert Southwest, USA.  My passion is the conservation of wild places and the species that inhabit them.  Like many wildlife and nature photographers, I believe that photography can connect people with the outdoors.  My hope is that viewers will enjoy the photos posted in this blog, but also gain some knowledge of the subjects as well.

    Brian, holy smoke what good photos! Loved the birds, being a bird nut.

    Hey, I’ve been skiing on Meadow Mountain on my AT stuff at lunch. Is your office at the Minturn building? We should take a 2 hour lunch some time and do a tour.
